Finding Multi-Syllable Words

Teachers and therapists often look for words that contain a specific number of syllables when working on articulation sounds or decoding words. LessonPix has two ways to find words that match your syllable challenges.

Soundfinder Tab: Filter your Search

Under the Soundfinder Tab, search for symbols based on sounds, letters, patterns, rhymes, and minimal pairs. For example, if you are looking for ending /t/ sounds, you can use the soundfinder or letter finder tools. On the left side under the search, you can further refine to find symbols that match number of syllables.

Clip Art: Searching by Syllables

In the clip art library, under "Speech Therapy" folder, you will find samples of three, four, and five syllable words. You can also find these words by searching images for "syllables".
